Mirror

Here are a couple of questions about the book.  Answer any or all of them.  Or, just give your impression of the book.

What did you think of the book?  What kind of story would you write to go along with the pictures?  How might the pictures change if it were about your country or culture? Why do you think she chose to compare the two countries that she did?  If you could talk with the author what might you ask her?  Let us know what you think!

I think this book is amazing because little kids can learn what the outside world looks like. I think the author chose Sydney and Morocco for the book because people can learn that not every country can look like their country. If I meet the author I would ask her how did she get her inspiration for making the book about two countries and two cultures.

  2. This book was really great. I like comparing the two 'worlds.' I also like the way the author introduces two cultures. If you are a kid who loves picture books but you can only buy one of them a year, this should be it.
